Dragonball Q Quake 3: Arena Modification Plans by Mandrake Game Modes: 1) Tenkaichi-Budokai Mode Similar to a duel/championship mode. Two players battle at a time, while the rest remain in observer mode. Game sets up a winners bracket and losers bracket, and fighters go through tournaments. After the champion has been decided, the map changes. Might be better to set up maps that can accomidate several fights at once without letting them interfere with each other. 2) Free-For-All Mode This speaks for itself. Just like a regular Deathmatch. 3) Quest Mode This is the teamplay mode. Up to four teams compete for the dragon balls. Dragon balls spawn in at one of MANY spawning points per map (need to make sure players can't easily memorize all dragonball locations.) As players find the dragon balls, they must take them back to their team's headquarters. When a team collects all 7 dragon balls, every member of the other teams is killed (possibly by a cool Shen Long Dragon model?) and the winning team is awarded double or triple frags per kill (depending on how many other teams are playing.) Then the dragon balls randomly respawn, and the quest continues. Normal frag/time limits apply. Scoring: Normal Frags..................... 1 point Fragging player w/ dragon balls.. 1 extra point per ball Stealing balls from other teams.. 2 points (one player can only carry 1 of another team's balls at a time.) Making the team's wish........... double frags for 3 opposing teams triple frags for 2 opposing teams 4) Fusion Mode This mode consists of 2-on-2 matches which implement the fusion technique. Suggested Characters: Good Guys: Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, Beedel, Young Trunks, Yamcha(maybe use Goku model), Mr Satan, Young Goku (can use Goten model), Krillin, Buu, Master Roshi, Piccolo, Nail (Piccolo model), Dende, Chin, Chaozu (can possibly use Dende model), Yajirobe Bad Guys: Bardock(can use Goku model), Nappa, Raditz, Cell, Freeza, Zarbon, Dadaria, Artificial Human #17 & 18 (same model), Kyui, Dr Gero, Artificial Human #19, #20, #16, Captain Ginyu, Rakoome, Super Buu, Jase, Berter, Goldo Powering Up: Frags indicate a player's power level. The higher the power level, the more damaging one's techniques are. A menu should be displayed when a player joins a game asking to select techniques from a list. The techniques are arranged by level and only one can be selected per level. As the player's power level increases, they learn higher level techniques. Senzu Beans replenish health. Suggested Maps: Namek: Freeza's Ship, Namek Village, Cave Earth: Roshi's Island, City, Canyon looking place where the Saiyajins fought Earth's Special Forces King Kai's little planet Tenkaichi-Budokai Arena House of Kami Snake Way Miscellaneous Suggestions: 1) Create several prefab teams for Quest Mode 2) Create several gravity/friction prefabs (named after different planets) 3) Make dragonballs small, like the Earth ones, so they are harder to find
